Bath Planet gives back to the community

Bath Planet's president Dimitris Nacopoulos and his employees have taken up a year-round collection of clothing and many other necessary items for WINGS Program Inc.

WINGS provides a pathway to independence for adults and children who are escaping from domestic violence and abuse.

Their goal is to provide the tools and support necessary to ensure that victims can escape their abusers and begin building new, violence-free lives.

WINGS is always in need of clothing, furniture, blankets, pillows, sheets, dishes, cleaning supplies, etc.. anything that one would need for a house, the list is endless!

Please call David Kahan, chief operating officer of WINGS, at (847) 624-0451 with any donations you may have.

Kahan will come to your business/home to pick up your donated items.

In addition to helping WINGS, Bath Planet of Chicagoland is also supporting several organization throughout the area by donating turkeys for Thanksgiving. In total, Dimitris and his team are donating 371 turkeys with 350 turkeys going to the Elgin Food Bank, 15 turkeys donated to York Township and 6 turkey donated to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton.

And, remember, if you know of someone in need of shelter to remove themselves from a domestic violence situation, WINGS has a 24-hour helpline (847) 221-5680.
