McHenry County College Concert Band and Chorus to perform Nov. 18

McHenry County College will host a Fall Concert featuring the MCC Concert Band and Chorus at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Woodstock High School as part of the college's Second Sunday Concert Series.

The band will perform songs from "Suite of Old American Dances" by Robert Russell Bennett, "Sussex Mummers' Christmas Carol" by Percy Grainger, "Kyrie" and "Dies Irae" from Requiem in D Minor by Mozart and "Juggernaut" by Gary Ziek. The band is directed by Paige Lush, Ph.D.

The MCC Chorus, directed by Steven Szalaj, will perform "Jubilate Deo" by Frederic Debons, "Viva, Viva" by Antonio Salieri, "When I heard the learn'd astronomer" by Michael Winikoff and poem by Walt Whitman.

A solo ensemble of Lily Kreitz, Teresa Baietto, Alexyz Sanchez and Lilly Ferris will sing "Song of the Gardener." Piano accompaniment by Danielle Cairoli.

Woodstock High School is at 501 W. South St. The concert is free.
