Wasco Nursery offers holiday workshop this fall

Wasco Nursery & Garden Center, now in its 93rd year, is offering holiday workshops in November and December.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Winter Grapevine Wreath Workshop will be 10:30 a.m. to noon. Welcome everyone who visits your home throughout the holiday season with a beautiful wreath that you decorated yourself. Advance registration and payment are required. Cost is $55.

• A free Holiday Indoor Decorating Seminar will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 17, or 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27. Learn new trends in holiday decorating from Wasco Nursery's own John Windisch, a certified floral designer with the American Institute of Floral Designers since 2004.

• A Winter Container Workshop will be offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, or 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 1. Create your own festive outdoor holiday arrangement as you learn the winter container basics. Advance registration and payment are required. Cost is $60.

• On Saturday, Dec. 1, stop by for photos with your favorite couple in red from noon to 4 p.m. Bring your kids, grandkids or your pets for free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

• On Wednesday, Dec. 5, the Tabletop Holiday Arrangement Workshop will be 10:30 a.m. to noon. Brighten your home for the holidays with the gorgeous tabletop arrangement that you will learn to make. Advance registration and payment are required. Cost is $35.

• On Saturday, Dec. 8, enjoy the holiday spirit as you bundle up for free old-fashioned, mule-drawn carriage ride through the nursery fields from noon to 4 p.m.

For the workshops, bring gloves, pruners, and a garbage bag to transport your creation home. Be sure to dress for the possibility of sap.
