Wayne church to host evening of Broadway, classical music Nov. 10

Little Home Church by the Wayside in Wayne will host an evening of Broadway and classical music performed by two local artists, vocalist Matthew R. Jones and pianist Larry Dieffenbach. This concert will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the church, 32W128 Army Trail Road.

Jones has performed on Broadway in "Phantom of the Opera" and "Titanic" and has performed locally on the stages of Pheasant Run, Drury Lane, Marriott, Paramount, and the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Dieffenbach is the director of music at Little Home Church, a music instructor at Elgin Community College, and teaches privately in Geneva.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit a total of six local charities including Community Crisis Center, and Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

Tickets are $50. A pew can be reserved for four people at $200 and can be purchased online at www.littlehomechurch.org.
