Winter Registration Begins Wednesday Nov. 14 at Hoffman Estates Park District
The Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) announces that registration for 2019 winter programs opens on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 a.m. online at heparks.org and at all HE Parks facilities. Winter Guides were mailed to every household in Hoffman Estates and the book is also available online at heparks.org. Following are highlights of the events available through the park district:
Winter Fest and Breakfast with Santa will be held on Sat. Dec. 8 at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. A hearty breakfast will be served and the jolly ol' elf himself will be in attendance to talk to children. Stick around for Winter Fest to enjoy free sleigh rides, s'mores, games, crafts and more. Skate with Santa is a free event on Saturday, Dec. 15 where kids can skate for free with Santa Claus.
Family Skate Sundays is a new event each week where from 1-2 p.m. families can skate at the Triphahn Center for a discounted entry fee of just $3 for kids and $5 for adults. Skate rental is $3.
Some of the new programs available this winter include nature classes, dog training classes and fitness programs such as HIIT, P90X, Fit Together, Forever Strong and Belly Dancing.
