MainStreet Libertyville presents Chef Fest: Night At The Museum Nov. 3

MainStreet Libertyville will present Chef Fest: Night at the Museum featuring unique, chef-created tastes from Libertyville's restaurants along with a side of Lake County history.

The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.

Chef Fest: A Night at the Museum will feature hors d'oeuvres prepared by chefs from over 20 Libertyville restaurants, local libations and a sweet table with desserts.

Dine amid a life-size Dryptosaurus, unique to the Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County, and take a tour of the Lake County History Archives (tours limited, first-come, first-served, from 7-9 p.m.).

Attendees will indulge in tastes of cuisines representing the scope and variety of restaurants located throughout Libertyville. From eclectic bistro to globally-inspired dishes, Chef Fest: Night at the Museum will showcase impressive, chef-selected samplings.

Co-chairmen John Durning of Pizzeria DeVille and MainStreet Libertyville Chairman Fred Kestler are proud to highlight Libertyville's culinary craftsmanship and bring Chef Fest: Night at the Museum to fruition.

"It's very exciting to see Libertyville's restaurant community unite to provide this spectacular taste of Libertyville to support the work of MainStreet Libertyville," Durning said.

A live auction will round out the evening with opportunities to win gift baskets and certificates for special and one-of-a-kind dining adventures and further exploration of Libertyville's restaurant culture.
