The city of St. Charles' annual Veterans Day ceremony will be at a new date and time this year.

The ceremony will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, inside St. Charles Fire Station No. 1, 112 N. Riverside Ave.

All are welcome to attend. Show your appreciation for the nation's veterans.

"Veterans Day is a holiday set aside to honor and thank the men and women who served our nation in the military, both in wartime and peace," said Mayor Raymond Rogina. "It is a day when everyone should acknowledge what our veterans have sacrificed to guard the security our nation. We hope to see a good crowd at the ceremony again this year."

The ceremony will begin with a reading of the official Veterans Day proclamation, followed by an invocation, salute to the flag, gun salute and taps performance.
