Friends of St. Charles Library host fall book sale Oct. 19-21

The Friends of St. Charles Public Library will hold its annual Fall Used Book Sale from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20; and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in the library's Huntley Meeting Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

The book sale will include paperbacks, hardcovers, CDs, DVDs, videos, audiotapes and more.

Shoppers are invited to stock up for winter reading at bargain prices. On Sunday, shoppers can purchase a paper bag of books for $10.

Purchases can be made with a Visa or MasterCard debit/credit cards. Books and materials will be available for all ages and interests including: children's, classics, cooking, crafts, gardening, history, hobbies, fine arts, mystery, romance, science, sports, travel, westerns and more.

Established in 1979, the Friends of St. Charles Library is committed to raising funds in support of the Library for the benefit and enhancement of its services, programs, facilities, staff, and the community it serves. Some examples of Friends-supported initiatives include: incentives for Summer Reading programs; sponsor of the Summer Reading Program Ice Cream Social, the Babysitter Training program in Youth Services, and Young Adult Exam Crams; and special concert and adult program funding.
