Aurora Lions host Candy Day Oct. 12

Aurora Noon Lions Club volunteers will offer Tootsie Pops for donations during annual Illinois Lions Candy Day Friday, Oct. 12, at Jewel Foods, 1952 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora.

Donations support local Lions projects and services for visually and hearing-impaired persons. Local services include vision and hearing screenings, hearing aids, eyeglasses through VNA Healthcare Aurora and other services.

Rodrigo "Bobby" Menendez, Aurora Noon Lions president, said, "Please consider helping by donating to Lions volunteers.

"Any donation made, whether big or small, is greatly appreciated. As a thank you, donors will receive a Tootsie Pop candy. We look forward to seeing you on Oct. 12, " Menendez said.
