December Holiday Activities at Bartlett Park District
It's not too early to start thinking about celebrating the winter holiday season with your family. The Nutcracker: All Jazzed Up begins on November 30 and continues on the BCC Oak Room Stage through December 8th. This performance is enhanced by seeing local talent performing a classic production to re-orchestrated music in a variety of dance styles. The costumes are elaborate and the festive atmosphere will warm your heart. Tickets $9 and available by calling 630-540-4873 or stopping at the BCC Registration Counter. The Holiday Shopping Blitz on Friday, December 7th in the BCC Gymnasium offers a way to start or finish your holiday shopping. A $1 donation to the Bartlett Parks Foundation serves as the entrance fee. Last year 100 crafts/artisans/vendors offered products that could check off everyone on your holiday gift list. Event runs 5-9:30pm. Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 8 at Villa Olivia. A great opportunity to get into the season and visit with Santa in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying a plated breakfast. Santa Splash on December 9th is a drop in open swim at Splash Central where a variety of games and activities are led by the aquatic staff to give jump start your holiday season. Santa Calling is scheduled for Monday, December 10th. Santa will personally call your child and talk with them about their holiday plans and wishes. On Thursday, December 13th the Holly Jolly Trolley Ride takes off from Villa Olivia and transports you and your child to Santa's Workshop where they can visit individually with Santa and talk about their Christmas list. While waiting for their ride they will be able to enjoy some refreshments, crafts, and coloring. A variety of travel times are available. On Christmas Day Villa Olivia serves a delicious champagne brunch so you can enjoy the company of your family without having to cook or clean up. Reservations will be taken at 630-289-1000 30 days prior. Celebrate the season and make new memories. Don't wait until the snow starts to fall to register for these holiday events and programs.
