St. Charles church to host animal blessing Oct. 7

To celebrate the upcoming Feast of St. Francis, the Rev. Stacy Walker of St. Charles Episcopal Church will be blessing animals large and small at a special outdoor service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

Pets are a part of families, and this is an opportunity to thank God for their presence in their lives. Bring your pet (on a leash or in a carrier, please) and Rev. Stacy will bless its furry, scaled, feathered, or leathery head. Horses and other livestock are welcome. Come and help celebrate the gift of all creatures great and small.

The event will take place rain or shine.
