Wayne/Winfield Area Youth/Family Services welcomes new intern

Katherine Beyer has joined the staff at Wayne/Winfield Area Youth/Family Services. She will be working with WAYS' Counseling and Youth Programs as a clinical intern.

Beyer has a Bachelor of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders from Illinois State University, Bloomington-Normal. She has previously completed practicum in the Community Counseling Training Center at Northern Illinois University, where she counseled students of the university. She is currently completing her Master of Science in education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Beyer currently resides in West Dundee.

WAYS provides individual, family and group therapy in English and Spanish; anger management, stress management and parenting classes; senior services; summer day camp; and tutoring. WAYS is a community based not-for-profit United Way agency serving West Chicago, Winfield, Warrenville, Wayne, Bartlett, Hanover Park, and Carol Stream. Funding is provided by Wayne Township, Winfield Township, Village of Hanover Park, DuPage County, client fees, insurance, donations and community fundraisers. Visit ways4change.org.
