Round Lake Park District Family Fishing Event Saturday

The Round Lake Area Park District will host its 6th annual Family Fishing Event on Saturday, Sept. 22. The event is co-sponsored by the Huebner Fishery Management Foundation. People will spend the day fishing, playing and enjoying Round Lake. The event start at 10 a.m. and runs through 1 p.m. at Lakefront Park, 1019 N. Lake Shore Drive in Round Lake Beach. There is no cost for the event. A new requirement in 2018 is that anyone fishing who is 16 years old or above must have a valid fishing license for this event. They can be purchased at Meijer or Walmart in Round Lake Beach and Ace Hardware in Round Lake for $15. Adults who choose not to fish may accompany their fishing children without a license.
