MCC to offer information on financial aid and workshop sessions
Current and prospective McHenry County College students who want to learn about their options on how to pay for college may attend a Financial Aid Information Night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Luecht Conference Center, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.
Also, those who need money for college can apply for financial aid at either an afternoon or evening hands-on workshop to complete the federal financial aid form online using college computers on eight different dates in October and November.

Walk-ins are welcome at one of the following FAFSA workshops: 2:30 to 4 p.m. or 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Oct. 23; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7; 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14; and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Dec. 13. A detailed email will follow once you have registered.
Staff members from the Office of Financial Aid at MCC will help students and/or parents complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid form for the 2019-2020 school year. The FAFSA form is the required document that students must complete in order to be considered for federal and state grants, work-study, and student loans. Information to bring to the FAFSA workshops include an FSA ID and 2017 tax returns for student and parents, investment information, social security numbers and bank account information.
