Tri-Cities CROP Walk set for Oct. 13

The Tri-Cities CROP Walk will be at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1145 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles. Registration for the 5K walk begins at 8 a.m.

The focus for 2018 will be water, sanitation and hygiene.

Local agencies that will benefit from the Tri-Cities CROP Hunger Walk are: The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps in St. Charles, Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva, and Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by religious groups, businesses, schools and others to raise funds to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world.
