Impressive Fundraiser in Chicagoland for Girls school in Kangra, Pakistan in support of Sonia Shah Organization

A Chicago-based nonprofit organization Sonia Shah Organization hosted a fundraising event and Celebrated Sonia Shah Organization's 5th Anniversary on Saturday 08, 2018 at the beautiful Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago. This major fundraising event, which had record-breaking attendance.

The purpose of the event was to generate funds for Sonia Shah Organization They engages, educates and empowers underprivileged girls and women. The Organization believed envision a world where every girl has a chance to change her life and communities around her through education and training. The evening was packed with great food, entertainment and fundraising activities.

The theme of the event was "Changing the world, one girl at a time". The event was attended by more than a 200 people. The evening a seated dinner, a live Music and auction, and special entertainment. lavish dinner was served before program start.

The event was emceed by Sameer and Ruby. Welcome and opening remarks were also conducted by Ruby.

Iran Shah, founder of Sonia Shah Organization greeted everyone present and thanked Chicago peoples for their continuous support gave, the Support on school in Kangra, Pakistan and Sonia Shah scholarship program. She said during in her Speech "We had built a school in Kangra, Pakistan from your support that educates underprivileged children mostly girls and train women in the Vocational Center. Currently, we have more than 170 students with 110 girls in Sonia Shah School currently we are expanding our project and we need more support and fund. She also said in the past 5 years, we've worked to educate and empower women and girls. We believe in a world where every girl has a chance to change her life and communities around her through education."

Sonia Shah Organization was founded few years ago by Chicago teenager, Sonia Shah, before her tragic and untimely death. Sonia's dream was to educate the girls and women of her ancestral village of Kangra, Pakistan, seeing firsthand the power of education and just how different her life would have been without it.

several speakers also addressed on the event including Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, Pakistani Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and others.

Jibran Ilyas and her partner raised funds for the upcoming projects of Sonia Shah Organization Huge amount were collected on the evening.

At the end of the program Safina lavji from Arthur Murray dance studio performed beautiful dance. A Pakistani singer Saleem also performed at the several beautiful songs at night and thrilled the audience with their enthusiasm and sheer talent.
