Get your pick of the litter at the Bulldogs Unleashed auction

After the summer display of the artistic Bulldogs Unleashed bulldogs in downtown Batavia comes to a close, a live auction of 15 of the big dogs will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Shannon Hall, 14 N. Van Buren St.

The 30-inch fiberglass dogs, all painted by local artists and sealcoated by Batavia-based Boyce Body Werks Inc., are ready for year-round outdoor or indoor display at your home or business.

Tickets for the live auction and final Bulldogs Unleashed project celebration are available at www.bulldogsunleashed.org, the official website of Bulldogs Unleashed.

The $65 ticket price includes open bar, live entertainment, and locally catered food and desserts from Fernando's Street Kitchen, Enticing Cuisine, Ltd., Team FIB BBQ and Auntie Vee's.

All 15 dogs that will be available at the auction can be viewed at www.bulldogsunleashed.org/auction-event.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to three local charity partners: Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence, Batavia Parks Foundation and the Batavia Public Library Foundation.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for previewing all of the bulldogs available at auction. Food and beverages will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the auction will start at 8 p.m.

Before the auction, view the Bulldogs Unleashed painted dogs at the City of Batavia's online map at bit.ly/BulldogsUN or pick up a printed map, which also lists all Bulldog locations, artists, and sponsors at Batavia City Hall, Batavia Public Library, Batavia Park District Civic Center, and Batavia Unit District 101.

Ten 17-inch tabletop foster dogs are also on display at the following businesses: K. Hollis Jewelers, Funway, Batavia Family Dental, Chapters Coffee House, Beardsgaard Barbers, Urban Style Salon and Spa, All Spoked Up, J DeCarlo Salon and Spa, Kiss the Sky, and The Tea Tree.
