Harbor Chase Long Grove sponsors fundraising and service events
Harbor Chase Assisted Living and Memory Care of Long Grove is sponsoring several fundraising and service events in September.
On Tuesday, September 11th, from 5-7 pm, they are sponsoring a fundraiser for our First Responders, "We Back the Badge." This event will honor the heroism and steadfast community commitment of our local first responders. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, cocktails and chef-prepared appetizers in their beautiful courtyard. Raffle prizes will be available. All proceeds from this event will benefit the 100 Club of Chicago, which benefits first responder's families.
On Thursday, September 20th, from 4-6 pm, they are sponsoring a service project "Hands Across Harbor - Sending Our Love to the Troops." In honor of International Peace Day, the facility is planning to honor our American heroes serving overseas. They're coordinating resources as a community to put together much needed care packages to send to our troops. It's a great way to show them that we care and that they always have our support. If you'd like to donate items for these packages, please bring selections from the following wish list items: high quality body wash, Vicks Vaporub, lip balm, pain relieving topical cream, lens cleaning cloths, small bottles of glass cleaner, baby wipes, sunscreen, bottles of barbecue sauce, hot sauce, and hand-written letters. Harbor Chase is looking for community members to donate items for the packages and to help put the packages together.
