Glenbard GPS to offer 'Making College Possible Step by Step' in Spanish

B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and GPS: Glenbard Parent Series in Spanish will present "Making College Possible Step by Step" with Sara Espinosa and Ferney Ramirez on Thursday, Sept. 13.

Parents and guardians want to see their children succeed and a college education is an important step toward that goal.

This workshop, which will be presented in Spanish, will provide information about the college application process from start to finish and the resources to guide students on their way.

The program will begin at 6 p.m. at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

A light dinner will be served.

Espinosa is an outreach program coordinator at the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. She raises awareness among students and parents/guardians about the importance of college planning, the action steps necessary and financial aid programs available at the federal and state levels.

Ramirez, a psychologist and author, will share goal setting techniques that will be useful to parents/guardians and their students.
