Naperville North to present 'Delightful Quarantine'

Theater students at Naperville North High School will present five plays this year, starting in early September with a freshman/sophomore production of "A Delightful Quarantine."

"Quarantine" is a dramatic comedy by Mark Dunn about an Extra-Terrestrial invasion that places a neighborhood on housebound quarantine for three days.

It features a mother reunited with the daughter she gave up for adoption 30 years earlier; a man with a secret that upends his marriage; a woman with 14 invisible cats; a foiled house burglary; a rekindled high school romance; two young couture obsessed little girls home alone; and a brother who cannot honor his sick sister's greatest wish.

At its heart, the play is about love and relationships, and prompts the question, "If you were confronted with changing your life, would you?"

Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7-8, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors and available at www.nnhsarts.com.

Other shows at North are:

• "You Can't Take it With You" on Oct. 19-21.

• "Winnie the Pooh," a children's show, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1-2.

• "The Laramie Project" Jan. 25-27, 2019.

• The spring musical, still to be announced, will be April 24, 25, 27 and 28., 2019.
