Car show Sept. 8 at College of Lake County supports scholarships

Cool cars of various types will be on display at the College of Lake County Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public is invited to check them out at the Techs of Tomorrow Scholarship Car Show in Parking Lots 1 and 3 at the college, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

The car registration fee is $12, which will support scholarships for CLC's future automotive collision repair and automotive technicians. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon, and visitor voting is noon to 1:30 p.m. Awards will be given for cars, trucks, motorcycles, student vehicle and best paint. The event includes live music, door prizes, with food and beverages available.

The second annual show is sponsored by CLC's Automotive Collision Repair and Automotive Technology programs.
