Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club supports PADS of Elgin

The Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club presented a donation to Public Action to Deliver Shelter of Elgin, Inc., to help support its mission to provide safe shelter, support services and advocacy to homeless individuals in Dundee, Elgin and Hanover townships.

Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions are part of the world's largest volunteer service organization, Lions Clubs International, guided by the motto: "We Serve."

Club members from Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elgin, South Elgin and nearby areas are bound by the shared goal of helping their communities.

Recent club projects include providing free hearing and vision screenings, serving a holiday dinner to in-need families, preparing dinners for PADS of Elgin, doing home improvement projects for needy residents, sponsoring summer camp stays for visually- and hearing-impaired children and more.

Upcoming fundraisers include Trivia Night Sept. 29, a wine tasting event Nov. 2, and poker tournament Dec. 8.
