Chapelstreet Church to host its first 'Stadium Service' Aug. 26

Aug. 26 will be a historical day for Chapelstreet Church. The Geneva church will host its first ever "Stadium Service."

This service will bring all three campuses together in one location, and is open to church attendees and people in the community. All are welcome.

The service will consist of worship music, baptisms, testimonials, and a message.

The service will begin at 10 a.m. at Northwestern Medicine Field, 34W002 Cherry Lane in Geneva. Gates will open at 9:15 a.m. They ask that all those who plan to attend the Stadium Service to register at chapelstreet.church/events/stadium-service/.

After the service, all attendees are invited to stay for a lunch and ministry fair.

Lunch, provided by the Kane County Cougars, will include an all-you-can-eat buffet of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, potato chips, and soda or water. Lunch is $5 per person or a maximum of $20 per family. Children, age 2 or younger, are free. Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m.

The Cougars KidZone also will be available for children after the service from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dippin' dots will be available for purchase at the stadium for $5 a cup or $6.50 for a Cougars helmet in a variety of flavors.

Additionally, each person who registers for the buffet will receive one Cougars ticket for a baseball game at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3 (Labor Day).

During the event, there will be a food drive to pack the church's Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry that serves more than 1,000 individuals a month from the community.
