Maple Park invites residents, business owners to offer input on strategic plan

The Village of Maple Park is always working toward ways to better the livelihood of both its residents and business owners.

As a part of that commitment, the village president and board of trustees are developing a new strategic plan in 2018 to establish and further the community's goals. The village has retained the Center for Governmental Studies to assist in the process.

An effective strategic plan includes feedback from all village stakeholders ensuring that we understand their needs and expectations. To accomplish this, the center's staff will be conducting an open community forum/focus group on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the village hall.

All business owners and residents are encouraged to attend. The village wants to hear your voice; your participation is extremely important and very much appreciated.

The focus group will run approximately 60 to 90 minutes. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the board room at village hall, 302 Willow St. in Maple Park.

To RSVP, contact Village Clerk Liz Peerboom at (815) 827-3309 or epeerboom@villageofmaplepark.com.

The RSVP process will help give an accurate count for space purposes; however, you can still attend if you were not able to RSVP.

On behalf of the Village of Maple Park, thank you for your assistance with this important project.
