Gerald Auto Group presents donation in support of Little Friends Inc.
As part of its ongoing support of local communities, Gerald Auto Group presented a check for $22,800 to Little Friends Inc. Aug. 1.
Little Friends Inc. was selected by Gerald Auto Group as the charity of choice for the Chicago Blackhawks Goals for Charity event. "Goals for Charity," presented by WGN Radio, is a sponsorship that takes advantage of the Chicago Blackhawks aptitude for scoring goals.
In support of this great cause, Gerald Auto Group agreed to donate $100 for every goal scored by the Blackhawks during the 2017-2018 NHL Season.
Since 2012, Gerald Auto Group has participated in generously donating to local charities with the help of the Chicago Blackhawks. In total, the auto group has donated more than $147,000 to local charities as a result of this event. This year, Gerald Auto Group chose Little Friends Inc. as the recipient because of its positive image on the community.
"This donation will have significant impact on everyday operations, from supporting our renewed Parent-Toddler Social Group program to renovating our various campuses," said Mike Briggs, president and CEO of Little Friends Inc.
With the Blackhawks scoring 10 goals just during their first game of the season, it was clear that the 2017-2018 season would be favorable for the organization. The check for $22,800 was presented to Mike Briggs by Doug Gerald, dealer principal, on Aug. 1.
