Fox Valley Beaux Arts to host fundraiser Sept. 15

The Fox Valley Beaux Arts will sponsor a fashion show luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road.

This annual fundraiser is held to raise money for high school graduates who will pursue a major in the arts when entering college in the fall.

A total of $16,500 in scholarships was awarded to this year's recipients, who had applied and performed before a judging panel in April.

In addition to the fashion show and luncheon, there will be chances to win five amazing raffle baskets as well as beautiful and interesting silent auction items, including tickets to the Broadway smash hit "Hamilton" at the CIBC Theatre in downtown Chicago.

Six vendors of clothing, jewelry, handbags, etc. also will have a large selection of goods available for purchase.

Tickets for this event are $45. Deadline for tickets is Wednesday, Sept. 5.
