United senior pariwar Chicago celebrated Dahsbdi (Ten years service) Mahotsav
Desplaines: One of the largest senior association united senior pariwar Chicago recently completed 10th years of services to the seniors as such authorities of this senior association have celebrated Dashbdi Mahostav recently in Mahalaxmi hall of Manav seva mandir located in the town of Bensenville.
Mrs. Nita Bhusan Consul General of Chicago was a chief guest and Mrs. Evelyn Sanguinetti lieutenant governor of Illinois, Mr. Tim Snyder Chairman of republican party for the state of Illinois and cook county commissioner as well as Mr. Mafat Patel well known businessman of Chicago area and chairman of this senior association, Dr. Bharat Barai community activists and trustee of this association and Mr. Dhiren Mistry Trustee and dentist of Desplaines area and Mr. Nimish Jani Trustee of Schaumburg township and community activists were guest of honor. About 580 members including invited guest and well-wishers attended this event.
In the beginning a lamp lighting ceremony was performed in which chief guest as well as all guest of honor participated. AAcharya Rohit Joshi chanted sloke on this occasion.
In his opening remarks Mr. Ramesh Chokshi secretary of this association welcomed all members and guests and narrated history of this association and activities being carried out for seniors in brief. He said that most of the seniors are not aware of the changes that are being carried out in the existing program at federal or state levels and we inform our all the members and providing necessary guidance in the matter. He further stated that we are arranging domestic as well as international tour to visit foreign countries for the benefit of our members and we visited Europe. China, Alaska, Greece and many more countries and all of the members who participated enjoyed it as well.
Mrs. Nita Bhusan consul general and chief guest of an event congratulated Board of Trustees (1) Mr. Mafatbhai Patel (2) Dr. Bharatbhai Barai (3) Dr. Dhiren Mistry as well as all executive committee members for helping seniors in their day to day life and she also told to all seniors and invited guest that her office staff members are ready to help all the people who visits our office for their work. Mr. Mafatbhai Patel chairman and Mr. Ramanbhai Patel President of this association also addressed the gathering. They have announced that on eve of celebration of 10th anniversary of this senior association, those who are the members for the year of 2017 will be given a silver coin to each and every members.
Mrs. Evelyn Sanguinetti lieutenant governor of Illinois and Mr. Tim Snyder Chairman of Republican Party for the state of Illinois and cook county commissioner as well as Mr. Nimish Jani Trustee of Schaumburg Township and Mrs. Malini Vidyanathan Manager Midwest Region also spoke at the event. They all congratulated office bearers of this association for the services they provide to the senior people. Mr. Jani read out a greetings letter received from Mr. Bruce Rauner Governor of Illinois State and handed over to Mr. Ramanbhai Patel President of this senior association.
To celebrate this event on a grand scale musician from India were invited and they performed Guajarati as well as Bollywood filmi songs and everyone enjoyed it. DR. Bharat Barai trustee also spoke on this occasion. He and Mr. Mafatbhai Patel donated$ 5000.00 each and Mr. Dhire mistry trustee also donated $ 2000.00 to senior association.
Mr. Hasmukh Soni Treasurer thanked all the guest and members who attended this event. In the beginning a delicious dinner was served and every one enjoyed it.
