CLC names Greg Kozak as chief information officer

The College of Lake County has named Greg Kozak as chief information officer. He has more than 20 years of experience managing information technology, including the past 11 years at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where he most recently was chief information officer and vice president, research, development and innovation. Kozak also spent 18 years at Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Aon Hewitt, where he held several management positions, culminating as partner and vice president of global solutions infrastructure.

"I'm thrilled to join the CLC community," Kozak said. "More and more people are seeing the value of a community college education. For many, it's possibly the most transformative time in their lives, as they are deciding on a first or second career as well as building study and research skills. I'm excited to find ways to leverage technology to amplify and accelerate that transformation."

CLC President Lori Suddick, Ed.D., said, "Greg Kozak brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. We are excited that he is joining the College of Lake County team. I'm confident that his expertise will help ensure that the college's IT infrastructure supports student success."

Kozak is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where he triple majored in computer science, mathematics and English. He also earned an M. Div. in theology/theological studies and a post-graduate Licentiate in sacred theology from University of St. Mary of the Lake. Active in Grayslake-area youth sports for the past 16 years, Kozak has served as a baseball umpire, a soccer referee and has managed or coached boys' or girls' teams in baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
