Naperville Little League Championships spring into action

It is that time of year again, baseball fans. After an electrifying spring season consisting of over 20 games played, the Naperville Little League Baseball Championships, sponsored by US Bank, took place this past Saturday.

In case you were not able to catch the action in person, NCTV17 was there to cover the entire competition. Now you can watch your favorite little league player step up to the plate from the comfort of your own home.

In the Supreme Division, with 9- and 10-year-olds, the Great Western Flooring team battled Ambrose Plumbing & Sewer for the title.

The teams were evenly matched coming into the championship with identical season records of 19 wins and only two losses. It was a scoreless match until the third inning when Great Western Flooring got the first point on the scoreboard.

That kicked off the hitting in the fourth inning and both teams started circling around the diamond, finishing that inning 3-1.

With a final score of 3-2, Great Western Flooring came out on top, but Ambrose Plumbing & Sewer put up a great fight.

In the Major division, with youth, age 11 and 12, the Round Hill Wealth Management team took on Frey Orthodontics. A

mazing defensive efforts from the entire team kept Round Hill pinned down. In the fourth inning, Frey Orthodontics got the momentum they needed to start off the scoring.

Frey's pitcher, William Clermont, was only one hit short from pitching a perfect game. Ending 2-0, Frey Orthodontics took home the championship trophy.
