Heat up the fun at the Sizzling Summer Adult Scavenger Hunt

The Sizzling Summer Adult Scavenger Hunt is set for 7 to 9:45 p.m., June 30. Teams of three adults will explore some of the lesser-known areas of the District, completing summer-inspired tasks along the way. Participants should bring their smartphones, as this latest scavenger hunt is expected to be more challenging than before.

"This is a fun night away just for the adults," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "There will be different 'games' at each of the different locations. With the longer daylight of summer, we were able to expand the event to more remote areas of the District."

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams. Small prizes also will be available at each site for participants, along with light snacks and a free drink at the end of the hunt. Start and end locations will be emailed to team captains before the event.

Cost is $65 per team. Participants must be 18 and older. Only team captains need to register. Registration deadline is June 25.
