Club to host Garden Walk & Unique Boutique

The Arlington Heights Garden Club will hold its annual Garden Walk & Unique Boutique from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 24, beginning at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum.

Six creative gardens will be showcased. Highlights include rain gardens, fairy gardens, vegetable gardens, and gardens featuring sun and shade perennials with garden structures and art.

Admission to the Unique Boutique is free. Browse the gardens of the Historical Museum, where more than 30 vendors will feature arts, crafts and other treasures for your home or garden.

There will be an Ask-A-Gardener booth manned by Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension Service, an Ask the Arborist booth from The Davey Tree Expert Company, and the Village of Arlington Heights will have information on native gardens.

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library will have a planting activity and mobile book check out from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Hot dogs from Lola's Pizza Palace and soft drinks from Zingabeer will be available from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Enjoy live music from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Garden walk tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at Village Bank & Trust Lobby (all Arlington Heights locations), the Arlington Heights Farmers Market on Saturdays, or online at www.ahgardenclub.com. Tickets are $15 on the day of the event. Proceeds benefit scholarship, conservation and other activities for the community.
