Veterans, military members and dependents invited to May 31 job fair in North Chicago
Lovell FHCC Vocational Rehabilitation Unit and Naval Station Great Lakes Fleet & Family Support Center to hold joint job fair
NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. - Dozens of employers are scheduled to be at a May 31 North Chicago job fair, co-sponsored by the Lovell Federal Health Care Center's Vocational Rehabilitation Unit and Naval Station Great Lakes Fleet and Family Support Center's Transition GPS and Family Employment Readiness Programs.
The job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Great Lakes Community Center in Forrestal Village housing. It is open to active duty military members, veterans, military retirees, reservists, eligible family members and Department of Defense employees.
More than 80 job and resource vendors from throughout area will take part in the job fair. Representatives will accept applications and speak with potential employees. Vendors include a wide range of government employers and commercial businesses of all sizes, hiring at all levels, in hundreds of career fields. Some employers will interview candidates on-the-spot.

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, May 31
WHERE: Great Lakes Community Center, 2007 Virginia Ave., North Chicago, Ill.
HOW: To enter, bring a military, family member, DoD or VA ID. Proof of honorable discharge (DD-214) also is accepted. Dress in professional attire or uniforms. No children please.
