District 214 Education Foundation to hold annual "Foundation for the Future" Golf Open, Aug 27

Sponsorships and foursomes are available for the District 214 Education Foundation's annual "Foundation for the Future" Golf Open and Reception, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 27, at the Rolling Green Country Club in Arlington Heights. The event is expected to sell out, so early registration is encouraged. The event, in line with the Foundation's mission, supports student success, innovation and lifelong learning at every school in the District, beyond the limitations of conventional funding for public education.

The Golf Open will feature brunch, 18 holes of golf, on-course contests and food prepared and served by District 214 culinary students, awards for top foursomes and a lively reception with food stations and the award-winning Wheeling High School jazz combo. A robust raffle and auction also will be part of the evening.

The event begins with a 10:30 a.m.registration and brunch; shotgun start is at noon. The reception will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sponsorships start at $350. Early Bird pricing (on or before June 30) is $200 for an individual golfer or $800 for a foursome; prices are $250/$1,000 after June 30. Reception-only tickets are available for $50.

Raffle tickets also are available for $10 each or six for $50; you need not be present to win.

To sponsor the event, register or for information, visit www.214foundation.org and search "Golf" or choose "Foundation for the Future Golf Open" under News and Events. You also can contact the Foundation directly, at foundation@d214.org or (847) 718-7708.

The Golf Open is the single largest annual fundraising event, raising crucial funds for items including college visits and other enrichment opportunities for first-generation college students; Advanced Placement tests for students who can't afford them; scholarships for students demonstrating college and career readiness; family literacy and more. The Foundation supports every school in the District, funding the future for thousands.
