Schaumburg Library Invites Seniors to Scam Prevention Event

Detectives from the Schaumburg Police Department will discuss scams aimed at seniors during "Senior Scam Prevention" from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and repeated from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, in the Rasmussen Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.

Popular scams will be revealed and tips for avoiding them will be provided during these one-hour sessions. Attendees may visit community vendor tables one hour before each session. Caregivers and seniors are encouraged to attend one of these identical sessions. Senior Scam Prevention is presented by the library and Support Our Seniors Council.
