Michele Pillar to speak at Judson Community Breakfast May 9

Author, speaker and singer Michele Pillar has a testimony that everyone should hear. She will share it as the keynote speaker for Judson's annual Community Prayer Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, in Lindner Fitness Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the prayer breakfast event.

Millar's journey of courage began early in life as a child who grew up in a home where alcohol addiction was prevalent.

Yet, hers is a story of survival, fortitude and opportunities, too. Pillar, a three-time Grammy and Dove Award nominee, began her career as a contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter.

She spent years performing beloved songs on the "Maranatha! Music Praise" album series and went on to record four successful solo albums that were played on radio stations nationwide for over two decades.

Pillar added keynote speaking to her singing performances in 2009 and wrote her first book in 2016: "Untangled: The Truth Will Set You Free." She is the inspirational voice of the "Two Minute Miracle" video Bible devotional on Facebook, which reaches more than 50,000 people weekly.

She gladly shares her stories of trials and triumph with others, all the while encouraging them to be their best selves. Additionally, she leads The Clothesline Women's Conference live events and is a scriptwriter and featured guest on the national, faith-based syndicated radio show, "Keep The Faith."

"God can heal anything once we talk about it in a safe environment and look into God's word for healing. I love demystifying restoration with truth, humor and the power of God's Holy Spirit," Pillar said.

Tickets for the community prayer breakfast are available now.

General admission tickets are $30. Table sponsorships are $500 per table and $350 for individual or nonprofit organizations.
