District 102 Has Another Successful McTeacher's Night at the Wheeling McDonald's

School District 102 held their annual McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Wheeling McDonald's on Lake Cook Road. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school. What an amazing night for District 102 Schools.

On Tuesday, April 24th, the restaurant was taken over by an AMAZING Thirty-Three District 102 teachers and administrative staff excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. During this three-hour FUNdraiser the teachers and Administrative Staff handed out orders. Served Ice Cream treats, Made McCafe Drinks, Worked the Drive-Thru and even dressed up in a Pie costume while selling Fresh Hot Apple Pies for donations. All pies sold were donated to the school by the McDonald's Owner/Operator David Bear of the Bear Family Restaurants.

The teachers worked hard selling delicious apple pies all night and had a blast. The funds earned from the evening will go towards the District 102 PTO general funds account.

A special thank you goes to District 102 Community Relations Coordinator, Lauren Knell, who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
