28 students in Huntley Future Business Leaders chapter compete at state; 7 advance to nationals

The Huntley High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America had 28 students compete at state on April 5-6.

Seven Huntley High students have been invited to compete at Nationals in Baltimore, Maryland, June 28-July 1.

The state conference featured more than 45 competitive events, among them 3-D animation, business ethics, coding and programming, marketing, mobile app development, network design, public speaking, and others.

The seven students who will compete at Nationals are: Sydney Plante, Olivia Lorenzo, Erin O'Sullivan, Samia Desai, Tara Pavithran, Michael Runsey, and Bob Chen.

Last year, the Huntley High chapter was recognized in FBLA's national magazine as one of just five chapters in the state to receive the Chapter Challenge Award, signifying completion of a number of activities focused on recruiting new members.
