The 5 craziest things happening at Healthy Kids Day 2018

On Saturday, April 21, YMCA of Metro Chicago centers across the Chicago area are hosting the 27th annual Healthy Kids Day, the Y's national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families.

You can visit ymcachicago.org for more details at your nearest center (three of whom are celebrating one day early), or check out the list below of the wildest and weirdest activities!

1. Bounce houses at the Elmhurst YMCA, 211 W. First St. in Itasca, and Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Road in Crystal Lake.

2. Make your own slime at the Fry Family YMCA, 2120 W. 95th St. in Naperville, and Kroehler Family YMCA, 34 S. Washington St. in Naperville.

3. Plank contests at the Irving Park YMCA, 4251 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago, and Kroehler Family YMCA, 34 S. Washington St. in Naperville.

4. A magician at the Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Road in Crystal Lake.

5. Rock walls at the Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road in Lake Zurich, and Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Road in Crystal Lake.
