Stop by Earth Day Open House at Creek Bend Nature Center

Earth Day is every day at Creek Bend Nature Center, but Sunday, April 22, is extra special.

Throughout the day, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County will lead activities at Creek Bend Nature Center from stories and crafts to a native landscaping program.

There will be Earth Day treats for everyone. Participants also will treat Mother Earth by cleaning up the trails. Activities are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 8 a.m., join a free bird walk for all ages. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., there will be an Earth Day Garden Workshop. Cost is $10 per garden, all ages.

From noon to 4 p.m., there will be free crafts and games for all ages.

From 1 to 2 p.m., learn about "Native Landscaping 101" for age 18 or older. There is a $10 fee.

From 3 to 4 p.m., join in a Nature Hike and Trail Cleanup for all ages.
