Community-Style Dinner Marks St. Patrick's Day Celebration in Wauconda

On Wednesday, March 14, 98 members of the Wauconda community celebrated St. Patrick's Day by gathering for a dinner with festive green decorations sprinkled with pots of gold. In addition, the Wauconda FBLA chapter included those unable to attend by distributing 19 home-cooked meals to community members.

The Meals for All dinner was a great success, with the Chamber of Commerce cooking a delicious meal of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. The Wauconda High School Culinary Arts Club baked delectable brownies for dessert. Wauconda FBLA would like to thank the meal and dessert sponsors.

The community enjoyed one another's company, and the weather was lovely, prompting discussions of summer memories amongst the community and Wauconda High School student body. Local residents recalled their childhood summer memories, which made the community more tight-knit as the evening progressed.
