Young Rembrandts honors art instructors with social media contest

ELGIN, Ill. - With 30 incredible years of art enrichment and childhood development in communities nationwide, Young Rembrandts would not be the program that it is today without the extraordinary educators who dedicate themselves to providing art instruction at schools and enrichment programs across the country.

"Art teachers are one of the main reasons that we have been able to provide such a meaningful piece of education and guidance to our students," said Bette Fetter, CEO and founder of Young Rembrandts. "We want to show teachers, whether through Young Rembrandts or in-school art programs, how much they are loved and appreciated by our students. Through this contest, we would like to highlight some of the teachers that have gone above and beyond for students and their families."

Young Rembrandts is showing its appreciation to its art teacher nationwide with an online contest via social media where parents can nominate art instructors. Families are invited to share their favorite instructor via social media by commenting on Young Rembrandts' Facebook page with the teacher's name, the city where they teach, along with a reason as to why the teacher deserves to be recognized and the hash tag #YR30th.

Five teachers will be chosen from the contest to win a $250 VISA gift card. The contest will run through the end of March.

The "Art Instructor Contest" is part of a six-month celebration in which Young Rembrandts locations across the country will be giving back to the community through a collection of local partnerships and outreach programs.

"We want to show how big of an impact art teachers have made not only in students' lives, but also on their families and communities," added Fetter. "Parents will have the opportunity to highlight teachers in a meaningful way. This is a chance to hear stories of how teachers have been a key piece of education for our students and we can't wait to get our families involved."

Young Rembrandts offers art and drawing classes based on the belief that when foundational art skills are taught to preschoolers and elementary students, there is a strong correlation between that involvement in the arts and academic performance.

All of Young Rembrandts' franchisees share a common desire to enrich the lives of children. Through franchising with Young Rembrandts, business-minded entrepreneurs are able to grow their own business while serving the community.
