Impressive Fundraiser dinner to support Holly Kim for Lake County Treasurer
The Fundraiser dinner for Holly Kim for election campaign expenses took place at Lone Tree Manor Banquet Hall, Niles on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm was primarily organized by elected members of the Korean American community in support of Holly Kim, Democratic candidate for Lake County Treasurer. The evening was including a lavish dinner, several guest speakers and cultural entertainment. Despite the freezing rainy weather, many Supporters, friends, and well-wishers attended the event, it touched their hearts and aesthetic senses. This sold out event was an impressive hit with more than 200 attendees in attendance. Holly Kim spoke to many groups of Prominent Leaders of society and several members of the Asian community who had joined hands in fundraising for include Terry Link State Senator, Jin Lee from Maine Township School Board, Jason Han Northbrook Trustee, David Ko Niles High school board, Daniel Didech Vernon Township Supervisor, Sandy Frum Mayor of Northbrook and many others.
Incumbent Treasurer David Stolman, a Buffalo Grove Republican, will face Democrat Holly Kim (Former Mundelein trustee) in the fall 2018.
Last year, in 2017 Kim narrowly lost the race for mayor in Mundelein, falling to incumbent Mayor Steve Lentz by only five votes
The event was emceed and moderation by Jin Lee
Speaking at the event, Holly Kim said, "I will work hard as a County Treasurer and closer with the community stakeholders in Lake County by providing a better understanding of the county finances and bringing best property taxpayer's solution".
The event was covered by many of the mainstream and ethnic media including some television networks.
