Des Plaines library offers 'Searching for Truth During Election Season' program

Just in time for midterm elections in March, Des Plaines Public Library is offering a free program, "Searching for Truth During Election Season: Separating Fact From Fiction," from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 28, at the library, 1501 Ellinwood St., in Des Plaines.

Better Government Association Policy Director Madeleine Doubek will discuss how to navigate the murky waters of political ads and find reliable information to take to the voting booth.

Doubek is an award-winning journalist who spent 32 years covering local and state government and politics. She previously served as publisher of Reboot Illinois.
