Crystal Lake Elementary Dist. 47 kindergarten registration set for Feb. 27-28

Kindergarten registration for the upcoming school year for Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 will be Feb. 27-28 at the district's CORE Center, 300 Commerce Drive in Crystal Lake.

Parents are encouraged to register their child on their school's designated day as school representatives will be present and available to answer questions. Three time slots will be available on both days: 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6:45 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27, the schools will be Canterbury, Glacier Ridge, Husmann, South and Woods Creek.

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, the schools will be Coventry, Indian Prairie, North and West.

To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2018-2019 school year, a child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2018.

A parent or guardian must be present at registration and bring required documentation, which includes an original birth certificate (hospital certificates not accepted) and an acceptable form of proof of residency.

To expedite the registration process, parents are also encouraged to pre-fill, print and bring in the new student registration packet, also available on the district website.

Early registration helps determine overall enrollment and assists with appropriate staffing and class size. Note: Fees are not due at the time of registration.
