Second Consecutive Year for Geography Bee Winner at Woodland Middle School

For the second year in a row, Woodland Middle School 7th grade student Kenith Taukolo earned the Woodland Middle School geography contest, which entitles him to represent the school at the state competition leading to the National Geographic Bee where he will be eligible to win a $50,000 college scholarship.

Last year, Kenith competed at the state level and scored a perfect 8 of 8 in the preliminary round before placing 17th overall.

Nineteen students were scheduled to participate in the school competition and Kenith and Max Zeisler, an eighth grade student, went toe to toe for several questions before the final win.
