Apply for Oddfellows scholarships before Feb. 28

Ken Palikij, Noble Grand of Elgin Lodge 12 and Katy Turner Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge 120 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, recently announced that several scholarship awards are available for students who are residents of Illinois and citizens of the United States. Ten to 15 $1,000 grants are awarded annually.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need and scholastic ability.

Students with a grade-point average of "C" or above and planning to attend an accredited college or trade school will be considered.

Interested students may obtain a scholarship application by visiting website at www.ioof-il.org, click on forms and download application.

To qualify, applications must be fully completed and received before Feb. 28. Please allow ample time for delivery.

Only those chosen to receive awards will be notified by the end of June.
