DuPage Chorale invites new members for spring season

DuPage Chorale, a large community chorus of amateur and semiprofessional singers based at College of DuPage, invites singers to join the group this spring.

No audition is required, and adult singers of all voice types and ages are welcome. Chorale members perform under the direction of Lee Kesselman, music professor and college choral director.

Spring rehearsals begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The group will perform Sunday, May 6, in the Belushi Performance Hall at the College's McAninch Arts Center.

The May concert features James Whitbourn's dramatic cantata, "Annelies," the first major work based on "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl."

DuPage Chorale is offered as a one-credit class.

Students may register online at myaccess.cod.edu or in person before the Jan. 22 rehearsal begins. Singers also may register at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, in the McAninch Arts Center, Room 140.

For more information, call Kesselman at (630) 942-2552.
