Deerfield police hold holiday charity food, toy drive Dec. 9

The Deerfield Police Department will hold its eighth annual holiday drive-through charity event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in the parking lot at Deerfield Road and Rosemary Terrace in Deerfield.

Volunteer police officers, Marines and community helpers will be on hand to accept donations of new unwrapped toys, personal care items, canned food and cleaning supplies.

Proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots, the West Deerfield Township food pantry, the North Chicago Community Partners Family Care Closet and the Ark.
