Travanse Living at Wheaton to offer free November and December Events

Travanse Living at Wheaton, an Assisted Living and Enlight Memory Care community located at 219 East Parkway Drive in Wheaton, will host free events this November and December for Wheaton-area seniors and their families. These events will be held at their community.

On Monday, Nov. 20 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Michelle Podkowa, museum manager and educator at DuPage County Historical Museum will present "1917: The Catalyst for the Modern Era." During this presentation, she will discuss topics from soldiers heading to war and women entering the workforce to the fight for suffrage and the history of the American Red Cross®. Light refreshments will be served.

The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale will be welcoming the Christmas season at Travanse Living at Wheaton on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seniors and their families are invited to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and other refreshments while the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale presents holiday favorites from their Wintersong concert.

Seniors and their families are invited to attend a Christmas celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Hear heartfelt stories and carols accompanied by Lorrayne Hansen, Peter Richey, Marge Elfstrom, Ron Schoeberlein and Penny Alexander while enjoying holiday cookies, hot chocolate and other refreshments.
