Indian Valley Community Band Holiday Concert at Sandwich Opera House

The historic Opera House in Sandwich, 140 E. Railroad St., will be ringing with delightful sounds of Christmas as the Indian Valley Community Band performs their 26th annual Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26.

The performance will feature a variety of holiday music suitable for the entire family, and even include a sing-along with the audience invited to participate.

Under the direction of Richard Hart, these multi-generational musicians from a dozen area communities will perform the concert as a benefit for the Sandwich Lions Club's Franklin Mall Christmas Food Drive. There is no admission charge and tickets are not required, but nonperishable food items or monetary donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.

For more than 60 years, the Franklin Mall Christmas Project has been distributing food and providing assistance to deserving families in the area.

Concert-goers are invited to stay for a punch and cookie reception, hosted by the musicians, after the musical performance. For more information or questions about IVCB's Christmas Concert, leave a message at (815) 786-6752 or follow Indian Valley Community Band on Facebook.
